Star Trek: Discovery unveils new look at season 3

Star Trek: Discoveryhas unveiled some new character images for season 3.

Having blasted 930 years into the future, the new season will see the likes of Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Saru (Doug Jones) learn that the galaxy was hit by a cataclysmic event known as 'The Burn', and that the Federation is no more.

Now, with the assistance of some new friends, it's the Discovery crew's job to help rebuild what remains of the galaxy.

Ahead of the new episodes, which will air from October 15, the show has revealed an additional look at Michael Burnham, Saru and Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman) in their new futuristic/apocalyptic clobber. Check out the new images below.

It's also worth noting that the show now has a brand new, albeit slightly understated logo to mark a new era for the Federation.

Elsewhere, Michelle Yeoh, who plays Philippa Georgiou in the series, has teased a showdown with Burnham, after her character was kicked out of her Mirror Universe for a second time.

"I think she's really pissed off," she said at Comic-Con back in July. "It's like, Michael Burnham, don't get in my way! Emperor Georgiou, Captain Georgiou, she is one that always finds her way into adapting because she is a survivor with many skills, and a formidable ally or enemy."

She added: "So, she goes in feeling very pissed off, but I'm sure, very quickly she'll find a way around. Power is something, inherently, she has. She doesn't even seek it. She just has it. Scary, huh?"
