Everything We Know About The Knocking
Here's everything we know about The Knocking, a new horror film directed by Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith. The filmmakers teased the movie back in June 2020, and recently completed a 19-day shoot that involved COVID-19 safety protocols. The Knocking marks the feature directorial debuts for both Leslie and Smith.
Leslie and Smith are best known in the horror community for writing the 2018 film Summer of 84. The ensemble cast features popular performers like Rich Sommer (Mad Men) and Tiera Skovbye (Riverdale), along with future Stargirl co-lead Graham Verchere. Directed by three different filmmakers, the 106-minute thriller received mostly positive reviews, though some critics pointed out that Summer of 84 capitalizes on the nostalgia trend that has driven so many teen-oriented narratives of the late 2010s.Click the button below to start this article in quick view. The Knocking Release Date
As of now, The Knocking doesn't have an official release date. If filming ended during the summer of 2020, then post production will presumably take up at least the early fall. Expect The Knocking to release by late fall 2020, however it's certainly plausible that the final editing process can be completed rather quickly in time for a pre-Halloween release date.
