What Star Trek: TNG Character Are You Based On Your Zodiac?
While the original Star Trek series started it all, The Next Generationis the program other series and movies are measured against. It set up several plot threads that carried on beyond the show's seven seasons— for instance, the introduction of the Borg, the Cardassians, and the Ferengi.
What the show also gave viewers is an Enterprisecrew that remains in their hearts. Everyone has a member of TNG's Enterprise crew that they identify with, and using the Zodiac as a guide is a good way to best figure that out.
12 Aries: Will Riker
Yep, Commander Riker is an Aries through and through. In fact, he's the TNG member that matches most of the qualifications. He's passionate while in command. He's bold and ambitious. And he's always armed and ready for battle. No wonder he's normally the one to yell "Red Alert.
He has a second sense that something's about to happen. Plus, if Captain Picard thinks otherwise, Riker isn't afraid to let his superior know about it. It's the reason Will was one of the top First Officers in Starfleet.
11 Taurus: Deanna Troi
When the series started, viewers of The Next Generation felt Counselor Troi was somewhat of a cold fish. Her dress and demeanor were not connected to someone they would discuss their problems with. However, at the start of season two, viewers saw someone more aligned to a Taurus.
There's no doubt Deanna is a hard worker. Yet, when off duty, she indulges in long baths and hot fudge sundaes. As viewers saw in the third TNG movie, Insurrection, she's also prone to some flirty fun.
10 Gemini: Data
Geminis are known for their curiosity and their interests in many pursuits. This is the personification of Commander Data. Though androids are not designed with emotions, he always wanted to learn more about humanity.
Also, like a Gemini, it takes a while for Data to connect with others. However, when he does, he creates a tight bond with them. This is why Data and Geordi LaForge have remained so close throughout the years.
9 Cancer: Miles O'Brien
It took a few seasons on TNG for viewers to get a feel for Chief O'Brien. When they did, they discovered he fit the zodiac sign of Cancer. Compassionate and highly intuitive, he could split himself between the emotional and material worlds. Anyone who could handle machines like Miles was definitely some form of mechanical empath.
For the most part, he was calm. However, as viewers saw in season three's "The Wounded," he could get up into someone's face if he felt assailed.
8 Leo: Q
There's no doubt that Q is a Leo. This being of the highest power wants the spotlight. In fact, Q brings a spotlight with him. It's why he made so many grand entrances on TNG.
Yet, despite his need for a red carpet during his appearances, Q can be loyal to those he meets. After the first few meetings with Picard, Q's goal was to help the good captain in any way he could.
7 Virgo: Geordi LaForge
Geordi was given a special ability as a Virgo. He can take complicated processes and transform them into something everyone understands. Even viewers could gather what Geordi meant through all his techno-babble.
Another trait of Virgo that Geordi has is a tenacity to learn new things. It's the reason he became the Enterprise'sChief Engineer starting in season two. Also, he realizes the flaws that he sees through his enhanced vision aren't defects: They're simply part of how the universe works.
6 Libra: Jean-Luc Picard
Jean-Luc has a huge weight on his shoulders. Though there are other ships in Starfleet, he commands the one that keeps the peace out there. It's the one at the forefront of the battle with the Borg.
This means Captain Picard needs to maintain equilibrium. He can't spend all of his time exploring the universe. Nor can he be in constant battle. He has to maintain an even mix of both to keep him and his crew happy on its mission.
5 Scorpio: Worf
As a Klingon, many people believe Worf wants nothing more than to constantly fight people, which isn't true. Brought up by human parents, he is quite passionate. Yes, he certainly has the warrior spirit in him, but he'd rather not show how ready he is to strike.
In other words, he doesn't let anyone see his cards on the bridge or at the poker table. He keeps things to himself and knows his path in life. Even when obstacles hang him up, Worf knows what to do to get through them.
4 Sagittarius: Wesley Crusher
Wesley knew his quest for knowledge was never-ending. What he didn't know was how it was going to take him to another level of power. There were inklings of his abilities in the past. However, while he was willing to explore his psychic strengths, he also wanted to remain on the path of his father.
In the end, he did both. As viewers saw at the start of Star Trek: Nemesis, Wesley had completed his trek with the Traveler and was back with Starfleet. With his growing pains diminished, it seems he was ready to move forward in the family tradition.
3 Capricorn: Beverley Crusher
Capricorns have the power to scale the steepest mountains, and Dr. Crusher had to climb several peaks. First, she had to raise Wesley alone after her husband died. Then, she needed to hold back on her feelings toward Captain Picard while she was on the Enterprise. Those are steep mountains to conquer indeed.
Yet, she was able to overcome these obstacles to become one of the most important crew members. She saved nearly every member of the senior staff at least once. Also, she wasn't afraid to solve some mysteries on her own. As she climbed, Beverly became a stronger individual.
2 Aquarius: Ro Laren
Don't call Ensign Ro a hippie. The fact that she's an Aquarius doesn't mean she walks barefoot through the fields. She wants to change the world and forego authority through her stubbornness.
It doesn't mean she's emotionally cold. Actually, she wears her emotions on her sleeve. Freedom is of utmost importance to Ro. As viewers saw in the season seven episode "Preemptive Strike," she sometimes goes in a completely different direction to make things happen.
1 Pisces: Reg Barclay
Reg fits the mold of a Pisces because he rotates between fantasy and reality in his life. Holodeck addiction, transporter psychosis, and general hypochondria. When he was on the Enterprise, Lieutenant Barclay was swallowed by emotions.
It took him a while to get himself grounded. In fact, viewers didn't see a stable version of the character until Voyager. Prior to that, Barclay was a 24th-century version of a nebbish, but a lovable one.
