Ubisoft Retracts List of PS4 Games PS5 Will Not Support
Ubisoft has retracted its list of PlayStation 4 titles that gamers reportedly would not be able to play on next-generation PlayStation 5 consoles. A now-deleted blog post previously noted that all of its games would be backward compatible except for a number of Assassin's Creed titles and a few other games, including Risk, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Werewolves Within and Space Junkies.
Following concerns from gamers regarding the titles that would reportedly not work on PlayStation 5, Ubisoft pulled the blog post and subsequently released a statement regarding the list, revealing there had been some "inaccuracies" present. It is not known at the time of writing which games were inaccurately added.

With the franchise one of Ubisoft's most popular franchises, the inclusion of the titles surprised many. However, bar Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the majority of the included titles are smaller, lesser-known additions to the long-running series. like Assassin's Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack, Assassin's Creed Chronicles India, Assassin's Creed Chronicles China and Assassin's Creed Chronicles Russia.
Sony's PlayStation 5 supports backward compatibility with up to 99 percent of the PS4's library. Microsoft, meanwhile, recently confirmed how every non-Kinect game will work on its forthcoming Xbox Series X/S consoles.
