“Discovery” S4 & “Alex Rider” S2 Shoot Starts
Following its renewal last month, the fourth season of “Star Trek: Discovery” has officially begun production according to co-showrunner Michelle Paradise.
The filming begins as the show’s third season has only just begun airing with the fourth episode of that run airing on on CBS All Access in the U.S. and Netflix overseas this week.
The current season saw the USS Discovery flung into the 32nd century, well beyond any point seriously explored in any of the previous shows whilst also teasing ‘The Burn’, an incident that led to the sudden simultaneous destruction of every active warp-capable ship.
Meanwhile Eleventh Hour Films is planning to start production on a potential second season of its spy drama “Alex Rider” early next year, though a renewal hasn’t been officially announced yet. A 22-week shoot aims to kick off in Bristol, England from January 25th.
The series centers on a British teenager named Alex Rider (Otto Farrant), who has been trained as a spy since childhood and is recruited by the Department of Special Operations, a subdivision of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), to infiltrate a controversial corrective academy for the wayward offspring of the ultra-rich. The first season is scheduled to make its U.S. debut on Friday, November 13th exclusively on IMDb TV.
